Administrative Staff

Tammi Jerolaman
Undergraduate - Elmira College, B.S., Biology
Graduate School - Morehead State University, M.A., Teaching Middle Grades Science, Secondary Biology
Clinical Interests - I am fascinated by so many different aspects within the veterinary field.  It is hard to choose only a few. Though it is not one of the most pleasant parts of veterinary medicine, I do find parasitology interesting. This is probably due to my interest in invertebrate zoology while in college.  I also enjoy lab and microscopic work.  However, medical cases, where lives are saved or greatly improved are definitely a favorite.  Obviously, I enjoy happy cases with puppies and kittens.
Hobbies outside of the hospital - I spend most of my time as a stay-at-home mom.  My husband and I enjoy managing an Ebay store.  As a family, we like to take walks with our dogs in our field and woods.  When I find time for myself, I enjoy reading novels.
Favorite part about working at BVS+AE - ...being part of a group of coworkers who are not only knowledgeable and passionate about their work but, most importantly, compassionate to the animals they help.  These are some of the kindest people with which I have ever worked!

Wendy Whitaker
Undergraduate - Cedar Valley College and AAHA, Certified Veterinary Receptionist
Clinical Interests - I am the most captivated by the surgery suite, as well as, the procedures we do in internal medicine.  It seems I cannot walk past our amazing surgery team in action without stopping to see what life-changing and often life-saving technique Dr. Evans is performing.  Similarly, witnessing the internal medicine team remove a foreign body via endoscopy always captivates me.  I suppose my interests lie here because my passion is in the animals themselves, and witnessing someone's pet come in barely walking only to walk out a day or two later nearly fully healed; well, it doesn't get any better than that.
Hobbies outside of the hospital - I enjoy finding the hiking trails around Cave Run and at the "Gorge" that follow a river or lake.  There seems to be so much life in these places.  Sitting under a tree listening to the river run by just brings home the blessings we are sometimes too busy to recall.  After work, I delight in finding myself covered in all three of my fur babies, as I catch up on a few television shows.  Also, nothing beats a good mystery novel!
Favorite part about working at BVS+AE - This can be summed up in one word - HEART!  In a high stress environment, you need to know you can count on your team.  I know I can; and they never let me down.  Each one of them plays an important part.  Each one is treated with respect, and each one fills their role with heart.  I refer to them as my second family, and I am very proud to be a member of such a passionate group of people.
