Expert Eye Care for Your Pet
Humans often try to see the world through their pets’ eyes, but for Dr. Jason Clark, our veterinarian that is practice limited to diseases of the eye, the mission is to help pets see the world through their own eyes. Good vision is a critical component of a pet’s overall wellbeing, and at Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency, Dr. Clark focuses on compassionate medical care and surgery for all ocular diseases in companion animals.
Dr. Clark offers eye care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds, and some exotics. Services include medical treatment of common eye conditions, surgery to repair corneal wounds, surgical lens removal, cataract removal, corrective eyelid surgery, and glaucoma surgery.
Animal eye disorders and diseases can range from simple to serious. It’s best to seek the advice of a veterinarian if your pet has any of the following problems:
- Squinting or holding the eyes closed
- Scratching or rubbing at one or both eyes
- Excessive green or yellow discharge
- Swelling of the eyes or eyelids
- A change in color, especially cloudiness or redness
