Dr. Kristen A. Slater
Dr. Slater is originally from northern Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. During the course of her career, she has practiced 21 years as a primary veterinarian with the last 12 years doing small animal general medicine/part time emergency medicine. She is a member of Texas A&M Emergency Veterinary Response team where she helps with examination and treatments of seized animals from neglect and abuse backgrounds as well as being a Veterinary Volunteer with Port Aransas ARC.
In her spare time, Dr. Slater enjoys being at the barn surrounded by her horses and dogs, and spending time in her garden. She owns several horses, 6 dogs, 4 cats and hopes to start a boutique horse breeding (elite dressage bred horses) and boarding (retired and special need) care facility in the future
